Evarg Nori

Evarg Nori was born on january 17,1987 In North Italy(Piedmont) but he moved at the age of 2 in north Sardinia(near Costa Smeralda).He started to see movies since he was a little child,and growing up that becomed his real passion(Walt Disney's Fantasia in particular will have a big impact on his life).Horror movies expecially,were his favorites at the beginning,and from the teens he started to get more interested from other genres as well.After a first attempt to shoot some movies when he was 16 and 20 years old(his so called "friends" never went beyond words to help him)at the age of 26 he remained amazed by the vision(and listening) of Kenneth Anger's Lucifer Rising(expecially by  soundtrack's last part)wich pushes him to dedicate himself to silent short movies based on modern horror elements(including blood,sex,violence) and characterized by the connection between music and images.And at the same time,a concrete attempt to homage all Anger's official works.So,between 2015 and 2018 he shoots is first work,"Handless Job",inspired by first Anger's movie "Fireworks" (1947).A sort of ironic,bizarre and trash version of the prototype(unlackily the proget has been ignored in the festivals and later blocked on YT in order to copyright violation  for which a solution is being sought...).Between the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 he shoots his second short,"Three Bloody Pigs",wich is supposed to be a first episode of a little series of slasher shorts(with the second episode being editing at the moment)in the tradition of Friday 13th,but always with the characteristics  of Kenneth Anger's works.This hoping that in the future he'll be able to seriously carry out his tributes to Anger...
