The Bomb (Bomba)

In the Balkan region, where lawlessness prevailed during the war, a man receives a threatening death letter from the gang he used to be a member of. Thereupon, he plans to escape to America with his pregnant wife. On the last night, after being threatened by the gang, the man leaves the house to persuade the gang members, but does not come back. Instead, an hour later, gang members enter the house.The gang leader starts a game in which he tells the woman that if she fulfills his wishes, she can see her husband again as a reward.

Onur Doğan

Director Onur Doğan was born on October 27, 1991 in Istanbul.
After graduating from Istanbul University, Radio, Cinema and TV Department, he completed his master's degree in Marmara University, Department of Cinema. During these years, he undertook the editing of a feature film. Later, he worked as a music video director and assistant director in the advertising industry for a while.

In 2017, he completed his first experimental short film, C.O.D., shot with the cinemagraph technique, in which he criticized modern working life. With this film, he was selected for many national and international festivals and received awards. Some of those:

Special Mention Award - 13th Boston Turkish Festival Documentary & Short Film Competition, USA
Special Jury Mention - Corto Nero Noir Short Film Competition, Italy
Best Editing Award - 4th Uşak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival, Turkey

Later, in 2019, he shot his second short film in the horror genre, The Rejected. The killer doll themed movie was competed and selected especially at international horror film festivals.

He has been directing commercials in the pharmaceutical advertising industry since 2019. In 2024, he adapted the story Bomba (The Bomb), written by Ömer Seyfettin, one of the most important writers of Turkish literature, based on his war memories in the 1910s, and shot his third short film, and the festival process has now started. Bomba (The Bomb) is also a short film in the horror genre and an example of the home invasion subgenre.
