A young student plagued by insomnia and anxiety tries to retain his sanity under the pressure of a looming exam.
Switch On follows the story of Alexander, a young insomniac student who is trying to navigate his end-of-year exams. When he is told one of his grades isn't good enough his perfectionist attitude causes him to spiral. With parental pressure applied to him, his lack of sleep worsening, and with the looming exam approaching, his grasp on reality starts to slip. Slowly his fears and anxieties start to manifest around him in creepy and sinister ways. Is academic achievement worth his sanity?

Stories to me are more than just tales we tell each other. As a young student graduating this year and trying to navigate this industry, my goal and aim has been to grow and expand my knowledge, understanding and feel for stories. Stories for me, are a validation of our existence and a way and a means for us to make sense of our being and our journey on this Earth. My journey has taken me to the path of being a filmmaker. My limited life experience has made me realise there are so many ways to tell stories in an impactful and meaningful way. Every day for me is a new challenge to get better and to be as in touch with the human experience as I can be, and that is how I want to continue to learn and to grow.
